Description

For those of you offended by the S-word in the title, I apologize. However, I didn't feel like censoring it out. Anyway, I've been working on this project for a while now, and now that it's finally done, I can honestly say that this is some of my best drawn artwork. Seriously, it's that bad. XD

Anyway, who deserves to get their own video game more than the Angry Video Game Nerd? Nobody! And it should involve doing what he does best--saving the world from shitty games!

The story goes like this: the Nerd receives a mysterious package one day in the mail, with the message: "All your life you've played shitty games. Now what do you think of your own?" The Nerd opens the package to reveal a Nintendo game embossed with the image shown above, same as the real cartridge. Figuring he'd get at the very least a decent video out of it, the Nerd puts the game in his NES, and suddenly finds himself beamed into it, with no way to get out except to win the game! Fortunately, the Nerd is not without defense--the very first weapon he has is the Power Glove, which can fire short, powerful bursts of energy, albeit limited to a small range. Along the way, he gets other weapons, such as the Zapper, also pictured here.

After the first few levels, which all involve using the weapons to destroy shitty Nintendo games, which the Nerd does for a living, you start to wonder who's behind this? It seems highly likely that Jason Vorhees and Freddy Krueger must have something to do with it, because early on you end up fighting them. The Nerd kicks Freddy's ass, but Jason escapes, and before he dies, Freddy pulls the Nerd into the dream world, where you face Freddy's hand, similar to the Nightmare on Elm Street game. After that, the Nerd wakes up dressed just like Freddy. It is at this point that we learn that the Nerd can change outfits as well as weapons, and while in the Freddy suit, his Power Glove vanishes, in return for Freddy's glove. You also gain a bit of Freddy's power as well, as you use it to fight Jason in HIS nightmares. You fight your way past Jason, and then you get the Jason Mask, which allows you to turn into Jason temporarily. While in this form, you can't be killed, but you have no long-range weapons whatsoever.

After killing Jason for good, you end up running like hell away from a giant, ominous behemoth of a Virtual Boy, which can't be killed. At the end of the level, a giant boulder crushes it, but then the boulder starts chasing after you. Next thing you know, you're in the next level, based on Indiana Jones, complete with a full Indiana Jones ensemble. While in this form, you lose the Power Glove, in exchange for Indy's whip, which you can use to swing across short distances. Treasure hunting in this level is a must, as your goal is to find the four pieces of the Ocarina of Time.

Using the power of the Ocarina of Time, you go back to the Nerd's childhood, and slowly you begin to figure out who's behind it all, but not before you fight Dracula from Castlevania 2, or the Ghost of Christmas Future.

Next, it's the house from Home Alone, which you have to find your way out of before the bomb the enemy planted self-destructs. It doesn't help that suddenly the enemy has Terminators on its side, which can't be killed very easily. Luckily, your weapons have unlimited ammo.

If you get past that, next comes a showdown against Shaquille O'Neill, star of Shaq Fu, and if the Nerd opens up a can of Nerd Fu, you get a karate outfit, which allows the Nerd to instantly master the martial arts and turns your projectiles into shuriken. Obviously instead of blowing the enemy back, it cuts through them.

Fighting terrible NES games and destroying them for good, the journey eventually takes you to the Red Brick Road that leads to hell. Of course, Hell has seven levels, and it's only at the last one that you finally fight Satan, followed shortly by his evil twin Lucifer. With both demons defeated, you'd think the game would be over, right? WRONG! Because at the very last second, the two demons merge to form a giant chimera-like monster that threatens to destroy the city. By collecting the power of all the terrible games that remain, it becomes the most powerful evil being in the world.

Not to be outdone, the Nerd merges with Super Mega Death Christ 2000 B.C. Version 3.0 Beta, forming the Super Mega Death Nerd, and then it's time for the final showdown, and what a battle it is! And when it's finally done, the Nerd wakes up, wondering if it was all a dream, and that's what we think at first--until the Nerd notices the Power Glove on his hand, and knows that his journey--and ours--is not yet complete!

Pretty good, huh? Let me know what you think, cause this artwork means a lot to me!
